"Wuhan Port - Dalian Port" container shipping route has achieved bidirectional operation
Author:
After the "Xin Hong Xiang 97" vessel set sail from Dalian Port to Wuhan Port on November 22 carrying refractory bricks, magnesium products, and other goods, it departed from the Yangluo Port in Wuhan on the morning of November 29, signaling the start of a direct route to Dalian Port with 241 standard containers of steel coils, plates, and other cargo on board, marking the realization of a two-way container shipping route between "Wuhan Port and Dalian Port."
This route uses a 6000-ton river-sea combined vessel for direct shipping, which can shorten transportation time by about a week compared to traditional transshipment methods, effectively reducing transportation costs and improving logistics efficiency. It provides a more efficient and convenient logistics channel for special steel, plates, fertilizers, and other goods heading north from Central China, as well as for deep-processed grains, chemical products, refractory materials, and magnesium products heading south from Northeast China.
The opening of the "Wuhan Port-Dalian Port" container shipping route is a key initiative by Liao Port Group, Hubei Port Group, and Zhongchuang Logistics to serve the national development strategy and promote regional economic and social development. It is a vivid practice of port and shipping enterprises leveraging the advantages of the river-sea transport strategic alliance to promote high-quality development of river-sea transport business, broadening the water logistics channel between Northeast China and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and providing support for regional coordinated development and industrial collaborative innovation.
